Expansion & Arch Development

RPE with Tongue Crib

Two jobs, one appliance: widen the arch and give the tongue nowhere to go.

Rapid palatal expander with tongue crib, polished, on a white model — view 1

3D bands available

Printed bands. Same appliance.

Send a scan instead of impressions and the bands are laser sintered to fit from the file, with the rest of the appliance built as usual. No separators, no band-fitting appointment, and the bands seat first time.

Send us a case

Scan or impressions, a bite where the design needs one, and a signed prescription. If anything on the Rx is left open, a technician calls your practice before the case is started.

Download the Rx form or call 866-437-4361.

A banded Hyrax expander with a tongue crib soldered to the anterior of the frame. For the narrow maxilla that comes with a tongue thrust or thumb habit, it saves a second appliance and a second appointment: the crib retrains posture while the screw opens the suture.

Built to your screw type, position and arm extension, with the crib height and extension you specify. Bands fitted to the model or laser sintered from your scan.
