David Gergen designed this one with Cory Carmen of Leone, aiming for a dorsal that would hold up the way a Herbst does. It is fabricated out of hard processed acrylic for strength and durability, and breakage is the problem it was built to solve.
In the lab's own words, this is the best dorsal appliance to hit the market. It is the design we reach for when a patient has already broken something, or when you know from the outset that the appliance is going to take a beating.
