Scan or impressions, a bite where the design needs one, and a signed prescription. If anything on the Rx is left open, a technician calls your practice before the case is started.
The dorsal design keeps the arches separate. Acrylic fins on the lower engage inclined ramps on the upper, and advancement screws set into the upper acrylic let you move the mandible forward in fine increments without sending the appliance back to us.
Because nothing connects the arches mechanically, the patient can open and move laterally. It is a straightforward, durable design, and for a lot of practices it is the default before anything more elaborate.
